Noob question maybe but... How the HELL do you ignore players in cross server LFG? Normally you right click on their name when they say something in chat, or in the social window. But I selected the player, clicked Ignore in the social window and it said "player not found".
I really, REALLY don't wanna run with these idiots again. MANA BREAK IS MANA BREAK DAMN IT!

Hi! First of all, thank you ladies (and gentlemen?) for all the help and opinions I have gotten regarding my mage and shaman. :)
My main on Nagrand is currently a 72 ololret pally (though I am half-tempted to make it my 42 boomkin... damn) and in need of help with gearing up. I've been having confusion and problems when gearing, and it's showing on my dps meter. If anyone can help point me in the right direction, it'd be great. :)

I love Death Knights. I love Death Knights so much I write a blog about them. And because I love Death Knights so much, I'm writing a class specific article on "How Not To PuG", because there are so many of them out there giving us a bad name. I have a few good examples from anecdotes others have already posted here, as well as from my poor brave boyfriend who's been leveling a resto druid through level 68-ish PuGs, but I'd love to hear more examples of ways that DKs have failed in PuGs you've been in, especially since the LFG tool was implemented, so I know what bad behaviors need to be addressed.

The new LFG feature has finally given us all a really good way of figuring out what’s in shortest supply on each server – tanks, healers, or DPS! I have a pretty good idea that healers are in highest demand on my server group (Silvermoon and some others, at least when I’m online) because my average wait time in que as a healer appears to be 2 seconds, compared to 10 minutes as a tank, and, near as I can tell, “forever” as a DPS. (I’m not kidding. I gained two levels on an alt while waiting in LFG qued only as a DPS, then finally gave up and logged after two hours of waiting. This seems consistent in all three level ranges where I have toons -- mid-sixties, mid-thirties, and eighty, although in the mid-thirties, the wait as a healer is about 5 minutes, so I’m guessing that tanks may be lacking?)
So...on your server, what is in short supply? Does this impact the way in which group dynamics play out? (e.g. I’m starting to see the DPS attack tanks that dare complain about healing, tanks that are groveling grateful for a healer who doesn’t suck, people tolerate Oculus if the healer sticks around, and I just switched my pally over to holy/ret from prot/ret) Does anyone think that LFG will eventually change the mix of hybrids on the server grouping? Change the way certain classes are treated? Just curious about experiences/opinions.

This is my first post here and it's just to share some glee. I have an issue with Elekks, not entirely sure why, I just do. So I didn't want to go to Northrend and have to abandon my flying mount without having a suitable substitute.
And now after three days of grinding - I finally got exalted with Kurenai and got my Silver War Talbuk!
I am very happy :) so...glee!

First, hello! I'm new to this group, but I have been playing WoW for a few years, so I'm not exactly new to the game. (I might play like a n00b, though, hahaha.) I write 'fic on occasion, though only one has been written thus far for WoW, and I attempt to draw a few times a year. (My icon is one of those rare attempts.)
Second, I just wanted to say that you ladies (and perhaps a lurking gent or two) have kept me very amused the last few days with your hilariously awesome tales of the new LFG system. Keep 'em coming! (I'd love to hear some went-right stories, too, though. Give us all something to have faith in!)
Now, for the nosy questions:
1.) I'm such an Altaholic. I feel better that there is an actual tag for this. It gives my disease a name. Lately I have not been playing as much due to work-related tendinitis in both arms, but God knows I love making and leveling alts. (Usually to around levels 20-25. Baby characters are so fun!) This has actually prevented me from ever getting to the level cap (70, and now 80). It's something that sends my siblings (all three of them) into fits of groaning and face-palming. My main is now 70, but shiny new alts continue to distract me! (Am I the only one with this problem?)
2.) Non-combat pets. God how I love them! What is everyone's favorite? Which pet did you spend the most money/most time to get? I think I'm partial to the Worg Pup myself, but I spent a couple of days to get the Emerald Whelping and the Tiny Crimson Whelping. (No luck on the Dark Whelping, though.)
3.) Guilds. I'm not in a real guild, just one consisting of my sister and I (for banking purposes). What's your best (and/or worst) guild story? (I was kicked out of a Horde-side guild that consisted of all men in the US Army, because I didn't log in for two days. I was crushed because I finally had someone on my lonely li'l server to talk to.)
4.) If World of Warcraft were real, and you could be any race you wanted to be, what would you pick? (I'd be a draenei, definitely.)
5.) Share your best RP story, all you RPers! (I don't RP because I feel soo silly and embarrassed doing it, plus I'm horrible at it, but it sounds like so much fun!)
6.) Any other ladies on the Lothar realm, Alliance-side? Just curious!
7.) Favorite questing area/zone? (I love the Draenei quests. My deviantART screen name was picked after one (Into the Dream)! I also really like the quests in Darkshire.)
(Shutting up now, but I've been dying to ask people these questions, and I have very few World of Warcraft friends to share them with!)

Some of you might remember my issues with previous immature GMs and a struggle to find a progression-minded guild on Moon Guard over the past month or two. Well, I responded to an ad for a newly formed guild, figuring "what the hell," and while I haven't had the opportunity to -run- a raid with them yet, it sounds like it couldn't be more appropriate.
- They need specifically two DPS for their 10-mans, meaning they can fit me and my girlfriend in not only without issue, but we're exactly what they want. How often do you see DPS actually -needed-?
- On their first week raiding, they demolished Ony, went through VoA, trashed ToC, and finished Ulduar, and plan ICC. Holy crap.
- They interested my girl enough to get her out of her funk, and she's finally resubscribing. Yay!
Hopefully this isn't all too good to be true! Their first run I'll be able to join is a simple Ony 10 on Wednesday, so it'll be nice to get a feel for them without a run that's too stressful.

I have a favor to ask. I've googled about and had no luck finding anything. I'm looking for a place that has a gallery of WoW/Warcraft art, preferably in good resolutions. I've found places that have some art, a few pictures here and there, but I'm looking for something that's more of an extensive gallery, so I can find some base artwork to work with. I've seen some lovely looking pictures in people's icons, and I'm wondering where I can find the originals.

So there's a new guild I've got to avoid like the plague off a server in my battlegroup. Picture this: Three people from the same guild. All in badge gear. You are the undergeared priest. You need on Amulet of the Dragon Prow off Heroic UP (Yes, I'm happily healing Heroics without anymore drama... sort of.)
The mage needs it and wins... After I do.
She's wearing all purples. Including a motherfucking Frozen Tear of Elune.
All because you asked them to catch up with the tank when he went to pull and they lingered in back talking to each other. It was right before Ingvar, so I said straight out: You're a bitch and you did that entirely out of spite. Have fun finding a healer to get you more badges, because I'm not healing for you.. Then I dropped group on the spot. I feel back for the tank, who was wonderful and effective, but with 3 of them in the group, there'd be no way to forcekick her and her friends. (Which is probably why they run in a DPS pack.)
Seriously, this was so much fun the first week. Why have all the jerks come out from under their rocks? I mean, last night I did a lot better and I got some good pieces. But why do that? What gold is it going to fetch her? Dick. She did it purely to be mean in that sixteen year old snotbag way. God, some people's kids just don't learn how to interact with grownups.
EDIT1: This was proceeded with the need to ignor all three from the same guild because of the 15+ minutes of verbal diarrhea, also stemming from the single 'will you come dps' request. So-- yeah, spite roll and verbal abuse = me not healing for you anymore.

my question is I have been staking ApR it's now over 500 I've done all this reading my rotation is spot on I use bad kitty add on very helpful but unless I'm solid on one target my dps is badly lacking.. I have no idea why, I have lower geared kitty's out dpsing me and they stack Agi over ArP I have considered switching my gems to AGI but that's a lot of money to just test out and see if it's better... what do you uber kittys use AGI or ArP and how does each work for you, I should be doing much better in dps then I am and I'm getting frustrated. Thank you for any help you all can give thank you. :)

I recently switched around some addons -- All of your lovely UIs made me jealous. I also got tired of Cartographer being borked all the time so I tried Mapster as suggested and am now playing around with Carbonite; I added Sexymap (hot); I also started using Button Facades.
Anywho, after customizing them a little I noticed something lurking behind my recount box:

It looks like something from the original UI, and sits sort of near where my /focus frame sits, BUT .. I haven't /focus'd anything in a while, and it is always in the style of x-perl.
I went through the interface menu trying to un-check mark anything I thought it might be to no avail. When I used the nifty tip described in today's UI Monday post (setting a macro to find what addon is on your screen) it said "Boss1TargetFrame". Huh?

I have my PVP disabled but I just flew to Rachet from Ogrimmar and was killed by these guys about 4 times before I just figured I'd take some screenshots and ask here. I also didn't hit them, so there was no way this would trigger my PVP...

Okay so lately I've had the biggest pet peve ever that's really annoying me. People who complain about buffs in a five man.
To clarify, I do buff. I throw a Mark on my Druid and all the priesty buffs lately on my priest.
I do not even glance so much at any of the other buffs that I am given or whatever. I mean yeah I like fort if there's a priest and I'm tanking but for the most part, it's a five man. If you can't do it without buffs x, y and z, then you can't do it period in my opinion.
So I don't understand why people sit there and whine to high heaven about how they want wisdom instead of kings from the said paladin. Last night there was some mage that complained incessently about not having wisdom on top of his kings and that there were two paladins and by god he should have wisdom *and* kings. Then he refused to give our paladin tank any water because he did not get wisdom immediately. Eventually we were all annoyed by his complaining and vote-kicked him from the group.
Am I just too lax? I mean if I *get* a buff from a pug at all I consider it a plus. In raids yeah I might ask for this instead of that because it's a raid but for a five man? What do you ladies think?

| Dungeon finder problems |

Hello, just wondering if anyone can help with a problem we're having with the dungeon finder.
Me and my boyfriend are levelling alts via RaF + random dungeon finder. We just did 2-3 SM GY's in a row. I dinged 33 at the end of the last one, he is 31. Now for some reason we can't queue for random dungeons any more. Whenever I try to queue, it says that one or more party members do not meet the requirements. What gives? On the specific dungeons page I can see that we're both still within the level requirements for several dungeons, including SM-Gy, SM-Library, and Gnomeregan. When I tried queueing using the specific dungeon finder it worked and we got into a SM-Gy group. So why can't I use the random dungeon finder? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
