I have a newfound want to faction-change my priest into a human and transfer them to Wyrmrest Accord to do some RPing. But my idea is pretty unconventional, and I wanted to get it checked before I go ahead with it. I also want to hear your crazy RP ideas!

| Hunter gals, I need your help! |

After getting my boy addicted to WoW, he has finally gotten his first toon to 80. He decided to go with a hunter, and he really seems to enjoy the toon but he's stumped on where to go with it now.
My first 70 on my current server was a hunter, but he's stayed at 70 and probably will for a while... after getting a mage and a pally to 80 I've completely forgotten how to hunter.
So do any of you hunter ladies know of a nice all inclusive guide to hunters? He's out of town for a while, but still plays when he can, and I know he wants to get skilled and geared for raiding. So I'd really like to find a nice link I can send him to do some research.
I've tried to help him the little bit I can, but my knowledge of the class and the way it's played now are two very different things - so any help would be muchly appreciated!

A friend and I were talking about it last night, and I realized some people on Bronzebeard (US) have some pretty lulzy character and guild names. Some of my favorites (lol quite a few of these are people I play with on a regular basis, too.):

Parts with the title "Private" (Parts had some special characters, but still....lol)

| A good night for warlocks |

We've never had particularly good RNG luck for casters in 25 ToC. It's getting to the point where we're sharing 75% of the drops because they're mail or plate and all the mail and plate wearers already have them, or better, and have them for their off-sets too. But then when a caster item does drop, 9 people are rolling on it.

So after many weeks of no or little caster upgrades dropping, all three warlocks got upgrades in one night! Warlock power!

Hey all,
I'm on a Mac, and after scouring around a bit I see there is no longer a Mac version of the model viewer.
Would anyone be so kind as to help me out by getting the largest shot they can of Alexstrasza's human form facing right from the thighs up or so? I'm currently making a background with that.:)

so I'm finally seeing some good improvement in my raid dps. with the exception of fights that require allot of movement. specificaly Hodir ( I despise this fight btw!) My dps takes a major hit soon as I start having to move around allot. I was wondering if any of you ladies have any advice on how to keep up your dps whilst moving? or am I just a spaz? Thank-you in advance for any tips!

I've been trying to explain to the friendly dps in my guild that I'm not a paladin tank (for some reason they need this explained, despite my big furry butt in their face), and I know I read a great post on a (what I think was) a feral druid blog somewhere around that I would like to link them to.
Except I've trawled through what I think are the usual suspects and googled, but to no avail.
What I'm hunting for is a simplified explanation of druid tanking, explaining our abilities, taunts, and the way that we differ from other tank classes.

| The Wrathgate |

I'm levelling my fourth alt through Wrath content at the moment, and today completed the Wrathgate and the Battle for the Undercity lines. While I can take or leave the Battle for the Undercity, I love the Wrathgate line. Even after so many iterations, when Alexstrasza's drakes glide in to cleanse the detritus of battle with purifying flame, I have to admit to choking up a little.

| Faction Change Glitch: moar XP! |

Just an interesting note. I faction changed my hunter a few days ago, from a dwarf to a space goat (I love that shotgun auto shoot!). However, when I faction changed, I was given the hunter newbie quests again. I was a lvl 40, and I'm talking about those lvl 10 "how to tame a beast" quests.
I got 6,544 xp for each lvl of the Tame a Beast quest, roughly 30% of a ding off of those quests. Tame a crab, tame a bird, tame a cat... yer done! oO; I cheated! It was awesome.

I can't even tell you how this seemed to take forever. It's like life was doing everything possible to keep me from working on this thing!! Anyway, finally, I'm finished with part deuce of what I've come to call the NElf Anniversary Project. I'm still not impressed that it's the best thing ever. But that's probably because I've been obsessively drawing chain link for the past week, haha. And I thought that armour was cool when I first saw it. Never again! Also, I kind of wish I'd messed up again and accidentally made the girl's skin blue like in the other pic, so the colours would mesh better, but alas. I guess I wasted that card on accidentally colouring the bike green, which worked out for tying the druid armour and hair to the rest. Not that I'm obsessive and picky.
Anyway, hope you like it. And nerd points for movie reference in title?

For the record, yes, I'm still taking commissions, though there is a small line at the moment. Sketches and inks have quick turn around, but a full colour piece like this gets done whenever I can squeeze it in, which is why there is a bit of a price jump from just plain inks. | Minimizing 25-man disconnects/lag |

*This is mainly for those who are suffering disconnects since 3.2.X*
(Summarizing this post in the WoW Forums who's source was this ElitistJerks post.)
1) Remove Recount-
Disable Recount Syncing (/recount synch) or disable Recount
(Ami: This was my issue, I switched to Skada and practically all my 25-man lag disappeared.)
2) Disable Blizzard Combat Log-
Right-click your combat log tab > "Self" > "What happened to me" > "Everything" > Click on each of those, and then click through each of the sub-tabs and disable EVERYTHING. Make it so that NOTHING appears on your combat log.
(Ami: If you run a combat log record for uploading to World of Logs, this will make it not work, so either have someone else do it or don't do this step, however, this is reported to be one of the biggest fixes, so up to you.)
3) Find out what addons from others are spamming you-

This amazing addon allows you to monitor addon message traffic from your raid members. What you want to do is to MINIMIZE this traffic. Many addons have secret "whisper" programs that we cannot see. They whisper other players in the raid/party for all sorts of information. The problem is, many of these mods do the whispering extremely inefficiently, thus leading to massive, MASSIVE spamming of your client with data.
Main one to look for is Gearscore. However, the author says he's improved the way it shares info and to make sure everyone updates to fix it. Several people mention banning Gearscore from being on during guild raids.
(Be careful: some addons like LibHealComm(X) have to do it, other addons like X-Perl and Carbonite and GearScore don't.)
4) Latency Improvment-

Lowers your latency by changing how your computer handles information acknowledgments. It's amazing. This is NOT an addon, it is a modification to your computer itself.
Install it, try it for yourself over a period of a few days. If you aren't happy, remove it. Make up your own mind. It won't break anything. Most people report a noticeable improvement in button response times, as well as smoother mob movement patterns.
(Ami: I went from ~150ms to ~30ms. Oceanic or overseas players see more significant improvements as shown in the comments section.)
I know some of you already know all of this, but I hope this helps anyone else who might be having issues. I myself blamed it completely on Recount until I stumbled across this earlier. Now I know that it was a combination of Recount, recording the combat log, and the raid leader and others having an old-spammy Gearscore.

I ended up leaving my last guild since they weren't letting me raid. Found a new one (with a fellow wowlady, in fact). They are quite good.
And silly. And they let me raid.
In tonight's raid, this song popped up, and I figured I'd share. Dunno if it's popped up here before, but it's funny as all hell. Onyxia wipe guy never gets old.

This is my beloved mate's main. As you can see, he is nearing Level 80 -- the first 80 out of any of our characters, as a matter of fact. When he dings, I'd like it to be a special occasion.
He has also recently expressed to me a desire for one of these. The problems I have answering this desire of his are actually twofold. Firstly, not only are fully constructed 'hogs prohibitively expensive on the AH, so are all the mats. Secondly, my own alt on this server, Meleiriel, is a lowbie too low to effectively farm enough gold or mats to manage the purchase price of this extremely expensive object in the time it will take for my mate to grind those last two levels.
What I'm wondering is this: are there any Ladies who call Cenarion Circle their home who might be willing to work out long-term payment arrangement for the crafting of this beast? Meleiriel is a tailor/enchanter in the beginning levels but I'm perfectly willing to work out something in terms of private crafting trade/gold exchange/personal slave for Horde-side alts and mains. I'd say 'help me, WoW Ladies, you're my only hope!' but that'd be cheesy. I will say, if there's anyone who wouldn't mind working with me on this, do let me know! Thanks in advance.

Hi ladies!
Well, as many of us know, WoW was a little weird last night with the patch download and the initial "WTF?! A patch on a Monday?!" reaction. So I, like a devoted WoW player, downloaded the patch that was required.. But when I logged in and got to the "Character Selection" screen.. My Add-Ons tab was gone! I don't know if the patch did something to it, but my boyfriend said that he managed to download the patch last night and his mods were unaffected. Am I just going crazy?
Thinking that maybe my mods had been deleted by accident, I re-downloaded one from Curse.com, but I still cannot access the tab,, Um.. Help?
Any help would be appreciated.
(And yes, I have found romance again! After much thought and discussion, my boyfriend and I have decided to pursue a relationship again! Once my mods issue has been resolved, I'll be looking to you gals to help me out with a guild charter just for my boyfriend and I! He was such a good guy.. We ended it on good terms for silly reasons that he realised were just that-silly, so we decided to give it another shot.)

| HAY SUP -- advice? |

The holidays are almost here and I'd like to open my commission lines up soon. :3 But I have some ideas I'd like to run by you girls (and guys) first because the vast majority of my commissioner base is female.
I usually do icon and chibi commissions but I've been trying to shake things up. All icons all the time makes me go a little crazy lol. One idea I have is to offer mounted chibi commissions:
 
Mounts are a big part of a character's identity in WoW and they're quite fun to draw. :D Normal chibi commissions go for $5, but the mount has (so far) proven to be a lot more work than the actual character lol. Do you think $10-$12 is a reasonable price for one of these?

Anyway I am currently NOT open for these commissions -- I'm just gathering some opinions about possible new options for now. When I'm open, I will let you guys know. :3

So my car has been having weird problems stalling and not wanting to start for a few months, and I took it to a new mechanic today who knew exactly what to do to fix it and did so for $100. Then, despite not getting home from work until 6:30 PM because I was borrowing my boyfriend's car while mine was in the shop and I needed to pick him up, UPS delivered my package from NewEgg 5 minutes after I got home, sparing me a drawn-out trip to the UPS office that would have made me miss my raid tonight.
( And then I logged onto WoW... )
